And I have a dream...

Of late, I have wondered why some persons succeed while the others are left behind, though this person had almost negligible resources as compared to others. The opinion which I have finally build upon after much speculation is that our brain is divided into three parts:
  1. the part that controls our language
  2. the reasoning part, and
  3. the part that believes.

The first part is the most active in all human beings. It is this part that decides what we want to do, say, watch, read, etc. The second part is also used by most of us. This part gives us reasoning power which helps us figure out why we want to do something. It is the third part that makes all the difference-the part that believes, that dreams. Often, we feel ourselves saying, "I don't know how I did it" or "I can't just say what I want to." It is this part which gives us the ability to dream, to have faith in something. Most people who become great personalities is because they dreamt.
Father of our Nation

Steve Jobs
As for instance, Gandhiji, father of our nation, believed in his right to freedom. The people joined him in the independence movement just because they connected with his belief. The third part of our brain is the most independent and has been active even when we didn't know how to speak. This is the part that makes a lasting connection between people. This applies equally to the case of organizations. Apple was successful in connections with the people with what they believed. Today, when a computer company like HP brought out its tablets to the market, it didn't find any place with the consumers. This is because consumers feel HP is a company related to computer and printers. They are new at making tablets. This is how the brand HP or any other such brands like Dell, etc. have projected themselves to the people. However, the case with Apple is completely different. Apple was originally a computer company. It launched iPod and then iPhone and later iPad. These all were products and they attracted millions of people awaiting even before their launch. This was because Apple had a belief and instead to conveying to people what they were making, they conveyed what they believed. And this way the belief of people fall in resonance with that of the company. The belief was to innovate, to make consumer electronics more and more personal and useful. That is why people remember and will continue to remember Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple because his beliefs connected with that of the people.
That's me, on path to my dream

Since 12th standard, I have been having a dream to manage a company that is related to electronics and chip-designing industry, somewhat like Intel Semiconductors. This dream has led me take engineering as my bachelors and I want to do masters in business. I have interest in electronics, technology as well as marketing, advertising and branding. I have to work a long path to achieve my dream. But it is this dream that motivates me to learn more and to do something new each day. I have got a sidetrack liking to creative writing and blogging. And I have to work upon my communication skills, and analyzing skills. But most of all I need to connect to people around me, specially connect to the third part of people's brains. During this learning journey which I have embarked upon I shall continue to share with you everything that I gain and feel worth sharing.

So this post will continue to flood with posts related to the above interests and likings of mine.
