Today, I have decided to introspect myself. Basically, continually hammer this mind of mine with the above question, as to how do I stand out. Well, lets start.
If you visit my Facebook profile, then visit my notes section over there you'll find that I have written more than 38 notes over there. More of them are poetry, mostly comedy and romantic, while there are pieces and comics to make you laugh. My friends say that I am a creative guy. For most of their feelings towards me, the comments by them are self-explanatory.
I am a tech enthusiast. When I was in eighth standard, my papa gifted me a desktop; for I had a keen interest in computing. When I was in ninth, I had learned Advanced Java, could make interactive applets. I had got the material for Advanced Java from my computer teacher, Ms. Rashmi Bannerjee. She and my friends were very much impressed when I designed a simple yet interactive applet on the school computer and showed it to them. I was a student of an ICSE school, then. I had decided to find a career in computing.
I was much interested in biology as a subject, and at tenth I had decided to take it as my subject. I got my school changed after tenth, because of my mom's wish and also because of the fact that the science section of the new school was better at least as people used to tell. But at the new school, I could take both Biology and Computer Science together. Then I had to resort to Computer Science. This computer subject was always treated as an extra subject in this school, much like the Sanskrit, Physical Education, etc.
I had got to prepare for the IITs and this required less attention to Computer Science. Hence, as my computer science teacher used to say, "You haven't learnt anything new in this college, whatever you score is from your previous knowledge." He was true and I had to stand guilty in front of him, but I was happy as I could score more than 80s. Somehow my first terminal marks had made my teacher expect higher from me. But I had to crack IIT.
I liked maths. But not as much as Bio or Comp. Sc. I got admission at NIT Jamshedpur through AIEEE. In standard 12th I had decided to pursue my future study in electronics, mainly in VLSI chip designing. I had build a dream to see myself in a company like Intel Semiconductors. I used to take much interest in circuit designing. At time of counseling, I thought Electrical and Electronics(EEE) will be better for me as compared to Electronics and Communication(ECE). When I got admission into this college, I found out that EEE was more of the electrical, while ECE was more of electronics. Had I known this before I would have chosen ECE.
It happened that I went back to my old favorite, Computing. Many of my friends comment that I should be in CS branch, as I knew much about computing than most of my friends.
When I used to design electronic circuits and show them to my friends, many of them tell that I should be in the branch of ECE.
As it turns out that I am in a branch of EEE, I tried hard to build my interest in the subjects of Machine and Power Systems and I am even now trying it. I had developed a liking to blogging and these are the interest of mine.
Often I have found myself lost in the conundrum of which side I should take. As one of my new acquaintances had once secretly commented to me that I was a nice guy, and I thought he was serious enough; I liked being thought so. This new acquaintance was probably the first person at college that I disliked. This was just because he was a bit pompous, always showing off his knowledge.
These are the things that have made be stand out all these years. As I wrote this blog, I found many remembrances flooding in front of my eyes, but since I want to keep my posts small and simple, I have not put them into words over here. OMG, I have got to share a lot with you all in the upcoming posts of mine.
